There have been a lot of these recently:

A lambo in Germany was totalled by the techs.

A BMW M5 was destroyed in Texas by the service tech after a routine oil change.
http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e60...-drive-97.html

A Corvette was destroyed in the Netherlands by the dealership.

Seems there are lots of high horsepower cars out there and no experienced drivers.

This is going to court and Discovery is probably going to lose if it doesn't settle. Discovery can't just say it's not responsible by saying it doesn't have insurance. Imagine if it were that easy to duck liability...

man, that is HORRIBLE! that was a limited-run car. There will be no more made (well of that generation) To see it wrecked, and by somebody else must be gut wrenching for the owner. I just hope the owner is filthy rich and can be happy with the rest of his car collection. If that was his best car, I feel sorry for him.

It appears after snooping through the Bimmer forums and GT Forum, a amicable resolution has been made. However, GT Forum has locked the threads from Public viewing and I can't seem to see what they agreed to. Ultimately, I guess I don't care, rich boys and their toys. These guys are spending two or three years worth of my wages for a 10 sec car. That seems crazy in my book. I got the impression from going through the Bimmer Forum and GT forum (what wasn't locked from view) that these guys are chalking it up to pay to play and a lot of these guys are giving him the benefit of the doubt and feel bad for him (Bill). I guess when you are stupid wealthy, common sense really does evade you.

If it were my car by the end of it all I'd own his house, his business, his wife, and his dog.

extra nagging, yes. extra money spending, yes. extra sex? sources point to even less sex than before, now that your wife has another woman to plot with.
