Really awesome it comes with a track day pass also.

True except for warranty concerns.

You could seriously tell the difference ... like night and day.

Its a Cool feature kind of sounds like the second key for the Bugatti Veyron .... still doesnt influence me to buy a mustang any time soon ....

The MyKey of today is more than just a fancy valet switch. With MyKey, you can control not only the revs, but also set a top speed limit, limit the audio volume, etc. It's all done by creating a specific program in the PCM that automatically activates when a particular key is used in the ignition.

In any case, it's a cool idea that allows Ford to provide the Boss 302 with an "off-road" performance strategy without having to take the car somewhere to get a "tune" and not have to worry about any warranty issues.

Most like it, but some will just hate it for no other reason than it's offered by Ford.
so you engineered it? no? then i wouldn't speak to it.

the press release states a two mode ecm... the how or why is beyond us unless someone asks a ford engineer.

(and as a side note, maybe the mykey has been neutered on my gt500 but it doesn't do anything more then notify you your going over a set speed limit, turn the radio down and let you chose dial colors... certainly not limit rpm range and speed).

Why, one look and one can see your using an illegal tune on the street, not so on a Camaro. And cops don't carry scan equipment for cars. But can and will look for the black keys onces it becomes popular and wide spread knowledge.

Its gonna fail n back fire hard.
Yeah, so true. The millions of boss 302s on the road will be priority #1 and a definite point of interest for police around the country.

I don't think you could find a more unreasonable point. Since when can you see the key in the ignition from the drivers-side window? Besides, if owners are really that worried about it, how hard is it to change keys when you get pulled over? You're not supposed to leave the car running anyway. It would take me about 0.7 seconds to switch keys

But if it is going to be the best handling Mustang when the GT500 is already a damn good handler itself that is something to be excited about. Especially considering the 2011 GT500 was a better handler than the GT500 KR from a couple of years ago which was also superb in the handling department.

People seriously underestimate the gt500's ability. All it needs is sticker rubber to lay down some great times. Add a Kenne Bell 2.8 into the mix and it really gets moving. Stock to stock maybe, but a wider/better tire than stock gt500 and the boss and camaros dissappear even quicker

I agree 100%. This car could possibly hand both of those cars their @sses on a road course!

Yeah and some modifications to a Camaro SS and it smokes a GT500. We aren't talknig about cars with any aftermarket mods we are talking stock for stock, or at least I am. The fact is this Boss 302 has some serious stuff in it to handle great not to mention the cool mapping to be unlocked by a key! I wasn't trying to underestimate the GT500 at all.

Like the BMW M5. It has an M button that does the same type of thing. It changes all sorts of parameters and adds over 100 HP!

(1) I like the two key solution.

(2) Of course I think a button/switch operation is more convenient (I like the idea that was put into the Eric Berry's car power option).

(3) Every time I overclock (increase the parameters) in my computer, I have to re-boot for the changes to take affect.
therefore, two keys makes sense to me.
