Those pics were taken at cars and coffee car show in Irvine CA. I go every once in while. They have so many nice cars there.

I saw this at the 2005 detroit auto show, but at the time i think they were calling it a shelby concept, or something like that. i aalso think that the ford GT looks much nicer.

This is polished aluminum and not chromed...lol.. I love this concept and wish Ford had actually went thru with production as it would have made a great competitor to any supercar.. I love the Ford GT as well and wish they had continued to make it..

The car is nice, too.

Reviving an old dead thread but I think the car is beautiful.. not the blingged out one in the pic..but I caught an episode of rides on this car and looks amazing there. Looks alot like the old Shelby Daytona

Best looking car? Meh, it's not a Masarati Ghibli convertable or Ferrari Dino 246, cars that are distinctive and original, it's a new take on an older concept.

That said, it does look damn good, and it should be their "supercar answer" to GMs supercar ZR1. I have a fear that the 60+K region of the GT500 may be an odd "no man's land" where excessive development may backfire if sales aren't as high as predicted. Not that a super-car would be selling better, but it may fit into a niche better.

The Shelby is better though.
