Wow, this is a wide open race this year. Not how I thought things would unfold.

Nebraska - can't wait to welcome them to the Big Ten next season, I think they will add depth to the program.

Michigan - congrats on an unexpected good start to a season that was only supposed to be so-so.

Oregon looking real strong, as are TCU and Boise St. Loving that the Buckeyes are #1 thus far, but there is a lot of football left and if powerhouse 'Bama can fall - we know anyone can fall. One bad series or play can cost a team the season at this point.

Anyway, it's been great college football to this point, can't wait for Saturdays.

Which is why we need a playoff. What kind of legitimate league crowns a champion based on polls. You lose one game and your chances of a National Championship is over. However, if you lose early it's better than losing late because you don't have time to climb back up the polls. What a bunch of crap. Bracket the top 8 or 16 teams and let them go at it. Teams that did not make the bracket can go to bowl games. I love college football, but it's a messed up system when determining who the best team is.

I've been around all of the Big 12 teams and even my beloved Cowboy fans don't even come close.

Lot of guys out hurt and for the season. I bet we only win ? 2 more games this year. Defence needs help. Like you stated weeks back Michigan is still a year or two away. Not sure Rich Rod will make it. (last year they also had a good start and died)
He's doing OK in none big ten games but the big boys (smash mouth football) his spread is not working .
What happened to Pen state. ? rookie QB

It's not the spread offense that is the problem. Look at Oregon, they run virtually the same offense and they do pretty well. The problem is experience. We just don't have it yet, but it's coming with every game. I know we are a want it now society, but things take time. Once the Rich Rod train starts really roling its gonna be very tough to beat. I know I sound like a broken record, but patience is a virtue.

In my part of the world we don't have drunk a-holes, we have stoners playing bongos.

Lets compare state populations though. Michigan has almost 10 million residents. Nebraska has 1.7 million. Your stadium has only around 25,000 more official seats than ours despite having about 8x the population of nebraska. Yet you still cant compare with our sell out streak

that being said, i really look forward to playing you guys every year from now on. Especially after that time you stole half the national championship from us

LOL, Hmmm, lets just peruse my municipal website shall we?

Hmmmmm, what's this? LOL.

It seems that everyone in the parking lot for the UC College system must have glaucoma. There's some good California football, then there's North/Central California football. We have some ass-kicking lacrosse teams though

1997 (I think)
And now we are in a slump. You are now coming out of ours.
We will have to see how you do. You do have a good team.
Like the SEC the big ten (now 12) will beat each other up.
Playing at the big house or the horse shoe and camp Randell
Is not like playing in a corn field.
Ask Pen state . But we are ready for some new fresh meat.

We beat you when we were right in the middle of our slump before you technically even entered yours (2005 alamo bowl)

The "corn field" portion of your post actually made me laugh out loud in the law school library and everyone around started looking at me hahaha.

BTW, its a lot more fun talking smack with big ten guys than big 12 guys. I'm so stoked about leaving.

Its will be a tough schedule next year for both of us.

Our big rival !

I agree it is an interesting schedule. But its good they did it this way that way it makes a new rivalry (us vs you) and it keeps an old one going (you vs the luck-eyes).

That was a big error in the big 8 turning into the big 12. They split nebraska and oklahoma which effectively ended one of the best rivalries in college football.

The biggest problem i see with the new big 10 set up is the possibility of michigan and ohio state playing each other during the regular season and then a week or two later playing each other in the big ten championship game.
