Have sore gums
Eat some candy ![]() I know, but have had problems with sore gums for years. Since I stared to chew 3-4 HotTamales a few times a day, no more sore gums. And I know, what your thinking "CRAZY" I even stopped for a good 2 weeks as a test and I was quickly back to eating candy to cure it. How I found out, was just by chance. Says cinnamon flavored on the box but its all artificial so not sure. I can tell you I make sure and pick up a box anytime Im at the store. [note I don't fully eat them, just suck em till the outside coating and the mouth on fire feeling is gone, I then spit out what's left.] |

Not exactly a remedy for an illness but I classify it as a big problem.
Have moles or gofers? Buy a pack of chocolate laxative. Dig a little hole into one of their tunnels and place one premeasured piece of the laxative in the tunnel. If you have a portable radio or CD player, you can set it to play heavy metal and bury it in one of their tunnels for 2-3 days straight. Warning playing classical will attract more moles/gofers. |

For hiccups try to tell someone you are about to hiccup again right before it comes. It may take a couple of trys but it stops them every time. I have yet to find anyone it doesn't work on.

If you get stung by a bee, rub some mud on the sting
My mom did this to me when I was a kid But most important of all, is the Mexican remedy for everything: drink a 7Up!

Heartburn-Try mixing about 2 tablespoons of baking soda in a cup of warm water. You will belch the most nasty belch but will instantly feel better.

Slugging yourself in the junk is a good cure for a cold. Try it!

For a bad cold the "sock" cure is an age old remedy. You take 1 qt of brandy, some cinniman sticks, some brown sugar, and other spices plus a good dolop of honey, put a red sock on one foot, let it stick out from the covers and then sip he mixture until you can't focus on the sock. When you wake up the next moring the hangover is so bad your cold is cured! (or in 3-5 days it will be!)

The sweat sock method works great for a soar throat.
wrap em around your neck to sleep in, you use socks as they will pull away easy if you toss around in your sleep, wrap a scarf around you neck round n round tight n ya might jerk yourself awake or choke if your pulling it tighter. But it always worked for me. |

I know it sounds backwards but it makes your stomach stop producing as much acid.

Here are a few:
Take a small glass of black cherry juice daily and plenty of B-5 to help with gout. Common meat tenderizer rubbed on a bug bite will stop the itching. It needs to have "pappain" (papaya extract) in the formula. Very fresh buttermilk used as a mouth rinse several times a day will heal a mouth sore in much less time. Salt water rinse will also help but just not quite as fast. Not exactly a "remedy" but also good to know - Clean the tarnish off copper cookware with salt and a lemon. OMG it works better than anything you have ever used before. -Mark. |
