Why does Ford give same engine for auto?

Last rumour was that the car engines were OHV while truck engines were DOHC. There has also been talk of 3 valve engines ... actuated by pushrods. But most of that is in the realm of wild speculation. We know next to nothing about them. The only reasonably solid info is that they will be direct injected.

But I sure hope they don't go to OHC. Time and again, GM has shown that their push rod engines deliver better numbers for less money than DOHC designs. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
