Oh my god. There is no proof in the pudding! The phrase is supposed to be "the proof of the pudding is in eating it."

There is nothing in the damn pudding. You just can't be sure you're getting pudding till you're actually eating it. Its like making a purchase based on a business deal coming through. You don't have the money until you have it.
