what part of saying that you dont know what the qualifications are of a digital retoucher are make you feel insulted?

and i'm hardly running off of assumptions. there are 5 people correct in the poll and the rest of you seem to be on the other side of the equation.

if your going to bother opening up a poll and ask people what they think, you shouldn't cry when the dont agree with your opinion.

esp when those people have more expertise with the subject your talking about then yourself.
Alright first of all just because someone dosen't agree with your opinion it dosen't automatically make them wrong.
Second, where is your amazing work of art.
you know..... since you know so much more of what you are talking about.
Seriously man how old are you? You need to learn some respect.

i'm 23, great respect for all of you... not sure what respect has to do with it. i'm certainly not calling you any names am i?

and i'd feel shitty about posting up my work in his thread... either i can send you links via pm or jinx can give me a thumbs up.

just wouldn't be very nice otherwise.

---

and to clarify, i never said you were wrong... i just said the people who said no were right. that doesn't make you wrong; you may feel right and think you are but unless you've got some professional experience with whats good in terms of digital work, you dont have alot of credibility backing your view regardless of what your thinking.

like i said, no offense meant. you asked for peoples opinions.

maybe you should just think twice before you post things because you sometimes come off as a jerk.

You're not sure what respect has to do with this? You're not calling anyone names?

Calling people "uneducated" is disrespectful right there. You're entitled to your own opinion, you are NOT entitled to insult people. I don't care how good you are at Photoshop, you do NOT come into this thread and call people "uneducated" just because they like the designs of someone you think isn't as good as you.

I have attended private schools for 12 years. I've been accepted to three universities. I received a 31 composite score on the ACT, aka the 98th percentile. I wouldn't call myself "uneducated," nor would I call the vast majority of people on this site "uneducated."

ever bother to consider in what context i was calling you uneducated?

for someone so profound in showing off their accomplishments, perhapes a bit more tact should be your next study considering i was referring to the lack of knowledge of what it takes to be a professional artist in the field... ie uneducated (in this relational sense).

maybe people need to cool off a bit here and stop taking things so personally, like i said; no offense intended... if i have then i'm dualy sorry for it.

I didn't mean my post to be mean bolteon. I didn't understand your statement there. You necro'd a thread just so you could dog on somebody's photoshops. We all think he did a good job, yes I can see some imperfections in his work, BUT this work was done for a website to look at. I am 100% sure that if JINX was to make a photoshop for ,shall I say Executives and fellow artists at GM, Then his renditions would be immaculate.

You keep baulking about being a professional artist in the field. By all means go ahead and send your PM's to me. I assure you that the pics will be deleted immediately in order to protect your work. I have the utmost respect for other people's work so hit me. But If you really are a pro then you need to show a little more respect towards other peoples work.

All you had to do was say "no I don't like his work" But you said.

voted no.
How the hell do you know that the people in this thread were not professionals in this field. If you can't see that you insulted us, then I am sorry and apparently being is artist is all that you can do. Because I was insulted when I read your post, and it is not even my work.

I'm sorry, It has been a long ass week on this website and quitefrankly people need to take a F****** chill pill. The camaro is coming and it doesn't surprise me that people are getting impatient. Geez, calm down people.

So "uneducated" is the correct term for that?

Perhaps you need to be a bit more tact in choosing your words. You could have said something along the lines of, "These designs are nice, but I don't think he has what it takes to be a professional artist because (insert explanation here)" instead of "Uneducated people supporting each other about things they have no clue about." The word "uneducated" has some pretty negative connotations behind it. The vast majority of people are going to interpret that as an insult, even if you used it in a different context.

To tell you the truth I think GM has amazing people working on their design teams and all though I still Jinx would do a good job there, he might actually be better off in an aftermarket company. Actually an aftermarket company would really profit from his designs.
