Why is that brake drum just sitting on the ground?

Does he not like having the ability to stop? Or apply power, since its a live axle?

I'm asking this here because it has the most traffic, except for the general forum, but anyway...

Anyone take out the dash trim? I'm going to be helping someone install a new one (different color) for the door inserts and the dash trim that "connects" the door inserts. Is it hard? Do they just snap off and on? Or is there heating involved? Is a trim tool needed?

I know how to do the door inserts, I'm just worried about the dash. I don't see anything that goes into detail on that part. Thanks!

I believe they just snap in... there's a DIY around here somewhere... probably in/with one of the threads about DIY ambient lighting...

P.S. - Yep, snap in, but apparently you want to remove the speedo first. Walkthrough in this thread, with lots of pics. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...bient+Lighting

Yeah, I looked in there and did a search. Couldn't find anything on it. I guess it's not that difficult.

Oh yeah, it said to use a trim tool, where can I pick one up?

Yep - doesn't look too hard. Probably just a small screwdriver to pop the trip pieces initially, and then the rest by hand. Just don't break any tabs.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of most. Since it's not my car, I'll let the owner do that part. Lol

Same with the door panels

I'd second that notion.

To be fair, you could probably lose a few tabs without impacting fit/finish, depending on which ones. But still, a good thing to avoid.

P.S. - heading out for the night. Later PMC.
