Hi Nick, I asked earlier, but I suppose you didn't see my post.
What happened if you don't mind me asking? I thought Carson was living with you?:(

I'm sorry Jo. I didn't see it. He was living with me and it was supposed to be a one year trial and that was agreed upon by everyone. He wasn't here a week and his mom was calling him 2-3 times a day telling him he could come home anytime he wanted and he didn't have to stay for the school year. He put her on speakerphone on a couple of occasions so I could here what she was saying. She would tell him that she's been depressed since he left and she had to go on medication to get her through the day and that she couldn't believe he chose to move in with me and be that far away from him. I told him he should let her know how it made him feel by her putting him through those guilt trips and he said he was afraid that would just upset her more. In the end, she put one guilt trip after another on him until he broke which is horribly unfair for him and selfish. He told me this morning he wished he would have stayed but he felt he had to go.

SHAME on her and I feel so sorry for him. :(

that's terrible. :(
One day he'll realize she's being selfish -- my step-nephew was told a lot of BS by his mom at that age about my sister and now realizes that it's not true.
I just sucks that she did this and made him transfer schools in the middle of the year - that's not easy.

He's going to resent her one day for her actions. He didn't like the fact she was doing what she did but he didn't want to speak up in fear it would upset her more. I offered to talk to her but he begged me not to so I kept quiet. He knows where his heart is and where he wants to be. It won't be long before he finds his way back here.

I agree -- I'm just sorry you ahve to deal with all that -- and sorry Carson does too. At his age he shouldn't be put through that crap by his own mother. She should be able to tell him that she misses him but guilting him is total BS.
:(

It'll get better....

And if it helps -- I have some pics from the Deerfield fair to post if I can get my phone to email them to me... I mean, Imagine my joy when I found the corndogs
If that doesn't make you laugh then....well....

Unfortunately, yes she is being selfish.

It's very sad that she wasn't thinking about her Carson FIRST, which is
what a mom is suppose to do....
Maybe as he grows up he'll figure it out on his own...
When can you see him next?

Nick, I'm truly sorry you had go through this...

Thanks hon! I did tell her that I would appreciate it if she would reduce the number of phone calls to him because it was making it difficult for him to adjust. She said that as his mom she could call him as many times as she liked because it helped her deal with him being gone. I said I understand but you should be worried about how it's affecting him rather than helping ease your pain. She said she would stop if he told her it was bothering her. I laughed and told her to do as she pleased and to forget I mentioned it.

CORNDOGS!!!
