Challenger forums un-impressed - Page 3

I've said it before and i'll say it again. Chrysler had no imagination in the development of their car. It is a spitting image of the 1970 model and in a certain way it works but, the Camaro is called a 5th gen for a reason Chevy isn't bringing back the 1969 model like Chrysler did but they are redesigning a new generation of Camaros just like they have done with previous generations they are all different but are still based off from the same general look. The saddest part is that i have seen comments such as the ones above in other Camaro forums. Not 5th gen forums but previous second gen forums (not naming any). It's really sad when the competition says things like this but even sadder when Camaro enthusiasts are making comments like this.

it's their forum, they should be free to say whatever they want about the competition, just like many do on here... that is why I NEVER set foot on another forum that competes against my car... Too much arguing and you will never win, they have home field advantage

I have been a die hard Chevy fan my whole life. That said I have always loved Camaros and cant wait to own my second one. However that forum made me sick. Just because you dont like something doesn't mean it "sucks" or its ugly. For example I hate Ohio state football, but I will never say that they suck. They dint suck they are a great team with talent that will rival most. I just dont route for them so I dont like them. This what pisses me off about these challenger guys. I will be the first to admit, when I saw a challenger at the dealer I feel in love, beautiful car. I would just rather have a Camaro for reasons I dont have to justify.

good way to put it....I have been disgusted at some people on that forum. It got so bad that if you even say 1 positive word like the camaro doesnt look as great but it will beat the challenger in a race you are condemned a fanboy and a troller.....even though I have 1000 post over there. funny thing is I have more post on this forum now because people here are enthusiast not fanboys...their are a few but it seems like there are alot more on my side.

For the record, I don't browse the competition's forums. I have Google alerts send me anything with the "new camaro" or "2010 Camaro" text in it on the interweb.

It's been quite handy for the last 2 years (looks at the URL of the website I'm on).

The Camaro can't appeal to everyone. Obviously the people who like the Camaro will be on a Camaro site and those who like the Challenger will be on a Challenger site. Each side will consider the others arguments pointless, for the most part. Most people that I talk to prefer the Challenger over the Camaro because of its styling.
