By torqueless you mean "tied for the most torque in the 150 class with the best torque curve for towing to boot" right? Don't take this the wrong way, but did you read any of the stuff attached before posting? No one is talking about the baseline 3.7, they're talking about the ecoboost:

"Let's start with power, shall we? While its 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque may look a bit down on paper when compared to the 6.2-liter V8, real-life scenarios prove that the EcoBoost has got the brawn where it counts most: right in the meat of the power band. Ninety percent of the boosted mill's torque is available from 1,700 rpm through 5,000 rpm, allowing it to match the bigger engine's 11,300-pound tow and 3,060-pound payload ratings."

And I don't just apply that to turbo engines, I apply that to ALL engines. That's not naysaying, that's just being a cautious consumer. It has the potential to be a great engine and I've said that before. My last 2 trucks have turbos on them and I have nothing against the concept on a gas 6 cylinder truck.
I wasn't really referring to you, but i do think that alot of the first year caution is a bit of an old tale and alot more overblown that what is really to be worried about.

Especially when the same setup (for the most part) was in previous year models without any issues.

With they way these things are designed using computers and the amount of virtual testing that can go on now a days exponentially speeds up the r&d of these new systems and gets them much much closer to perfect before actual real world testing begins.

I'm not saying that issues won't happen but if they do they you know there will be a huge recall and black eye for that company and the brand has more to lose than you do.

I most definately misread the chart. That's damn impressive for a 6 cylinder. I wonder how they'll hold up.

I hope so.

I think I'm overposting in the threads about this truck. I've been on the diesel bandwagon for a decade. I've been considering downsizing my fifth wheel for various reasons. I've never really been happy with a gas truck for towing, but this truck (or it's Chevy equivalent Fenwick) has me extremely interested and I've been gobbling up info. Diesels are great but they're kind of a PITA too. (Waiting in line for the only diesel pump, additives, storage issues if you don't drive it often enough, etc.)

Ok, I'm getting sick of waiting to see the ecoboost in a performance car. American twin turbo v6 sports car? Yes please.

i really like the engine choices
i would of liked if the 6.2L were in more trims, but ford need to prove the 3.5L is up to the job.
