This one's pissing me off.

A pellet gun is fired straight downward from the edge of a cliff that is 15 m above the ground. The pellet strikes the ground with a speed of 30 m/s. How far above the cliff edge would the pellet have gone had the gun been fired straight upward?

60.9 has to be the answer. I can't figure out why it's not working.

I dated a guy last month. Sadly to say the relationship lasted two weeks. Somebody got him cheatin on me and I hate liars which he lies ALOT. So anyone he stopped calling my phone because I told him this is Robert So he came in to my workplace for the second time since he saw my camaro parked outside and was asking my co-workers where the psycho is at? Well I wasn't around when he came in I was outside dealing with some stuff. So he stands by the counter for another 5 mintues just trying to wait for me? This guy is really starting to creep me out?

Not ALWAYS true (I've have prof's that put in extra "givens" just to throw you off) but definitely a good starting place.

Now that I think about it, you even don't need to use energy equation. Its just a habit of mine because its so much easier to work with.

Anyway, just use that first equation I showed twice. First solve for vi given v, s, and si. Then do it again for s (v = 0, si = 0) and your calculated value for vi. It should work out the same way.

Oh yeah, it happens. And sadly, the real world doesn't even care how many numbers you want. It might give you 2 when you need 10, or 10 when you need 2. Reality sucks.

I would consider recording a phone call with him on speaker phone. Call and tell him to leave you alone. Give that to the police in your municipality and his municipality. If he tries to mess with you again, it will already be on the record.
