The forum is pretty slow lately. New topics in 5th Gen General have been cut in half, and if I leave the site for 4 hours, I've only got 3-4 reply notices. Normally it would be 3x that. Wonder what the deal with the drop off is. Gonna have to check our Quantcast traffic.

Wow, let us know what you find out...maybe people are out there driving their cars instead of posting here?

Or, maybe there are so many of us that have our cars now, instead of waiting for them, it is causing posts to slow down...

Would be interesting to post it as a question to see what responses you get...

I think another reason is that so many of us are now friends on facebook as well as C5, and a bunch of the C5 people are addicted to 'Car Town' on fb too...

We got rid of a few about a month ago. That might explain the reduced replies, but not the drop in new threads. Maybe people are just searching the site more and finding what they need. Quantcast is only indexed to the end of July so there's no help there.

button instead of posting the same few threads over and over....

i.e. V6 vs V8
manual vs auto
which color is the best
how old are the Camaro owners

Could be. And I'm probably getting fewer replies e-mails because I don't really venture into too many owner related discussions, since I don't have a Camaro.

I never check facebook. I go there every few months, accept friend requests, then leave. Since I was just there less than a month ago, don't expect any FB activity from me until 2011.

I generally check FB in the morning and evening but sometimes I'll go a week and not get on. I have it set to show that I'm offline so people won't try and IM me. I don't get the whole obsession with FB myself.
