I can't decide if I want to pick it up or not. Generaly with most FPSes I play through the overly generic single player, then hop online kick some kids faces in and get bored. From what I hear from 4-5 friends this one isn't much different, although the simple fact theres now a sprint is cool.

Eagerly awaiting Assasins Creed + Gran Turismo 5.

Correct. My brother has the 360 and my 'old' Wii (that I never play anymore); I have a gen 1 PS3. Bought it because it was a good buy as an expandable console that also happened to play Blu Ray movies.

Turns out it's still being argued as one of the better players out there too.

Either way I just never got into Halo period. Played Halo once (not Halo as in 3 but Halo as in Halo 1) and was 'meh'. Instead I'm playing Bioshock and non multi-players. Even on the PS3 I just never enjoyed the 'Multi-Player' experience.

Maybe it's because all the games I've played on both the 360 and PS3 just sucked ass in the Multiplayer dept. COD got old fast too, just to throw it out there. Haven't bought a new installment since Modern Warfare.

If you don't like Halo, then you don't like Halo. Nothing wrong with that. Why do I need to convince you to play a game you don't like?

But just for giggles, here are some of the reasons that I love Halo in all its glory:

1 The storyline is actually pretty interesting if you pay attention to it. I like games with good stories.
2 Vehicle Combat: Halo does it well. Hate those games where you run past a tank or a jeep or something and you can't get in and drive it. Sure 'realistically' a foot solider isn't going to know how to drive a tank etc... who cares? Realism doesn't always = fun in video games. They also carry the vehicle combat over to multi-player, something quite a few games seem to struggle with.
3 Multi-player: Halo rocks at this, and all you need for proof is to look at the huge numbers of Halo players over the years. Also, there is a huge variety of game types you can play and now with Forge you can create your own maps etc etc. LOTS of replayability there.
4 AI - the artificial intelligence in all 4 Halo games has always impressed me. Playing through the campaign multiple times never seemed to get old, the AI always found a new way to come at you that you weren't expecting.
5 The Banhammer. Bungie is a LOT more diligent than some companies when it comes to policing Halo. They weed out the hackers and griefers and get them booted so the rest of us can enjoy the game the way its meant to be.

Haha, I'm not even THAT far. I played online multiplayer all night. Probably won't even get into campaign til this weekend, when I can devote some hours to it.

I'm just curious? Remember that I haven't played the game since Halo 1 so maybe I'm just missing something.. big? Never bothered to research it so if I'm proven wrong in my 'dislike' of the game I think it'd be a welcome epiphany.

And maybe I can just stop being a dick on Brando and Fen's FBs with 'Halo Sux' just because I feel like it.

If I set ya off then I apologize; I know how things can get. Especially if someone started razzing on Fallout. Oh lord if I had a MIRV.

EDIT: after reading your edit two of those things I DID NOT know about. Especially the efforts of Bungie in the MP area. Those hackers and 'greifers' as you put are why I HAET MP. Ya know.. if I ever find a used 360 for a good price, might as well jump in.
