Just think you get free food, housing, & clothes! & you get to learn how to kill someone with a spoon!! You cant possibley tell me you dont want to learn that now!!

I say join the Marine Corps! Because after being in the Marines, there aint nothing thats to hard to handle! Expect for bills, kids, & being married!! So marry her and join the Marines!

Man, my friend joined the marines straight out of high school in '02 and within a year he was married, had a kid, and divorced (in that order). No offense to the women of this board, but it's crazy how many chicks are out there that will stop using their birth control pills and contraceptives as soon as they hear you're in the military, especially the marines. It's a very odd phenomenon.

While yes, the military is an option, it's only one you should be absolutely certain about. I hear people say it's the "easy way out" and I chuckle, because if they think it's going to be easy they're seriously kidding themselves. While I think it'd be cool to learn how to kill someone with a spoon, I don't need to join the military to do that

theres something thats wrong, which hasn't been brought up... how is the relationship between your mother and father? perhaps you inherited a spirit of anger and resentment from one or both of them... i would focus on yourself before you decide (if) to join the military and continue on with the relationship youre in now... get in a spirit filled church and seek help with the ministry.. there are people who have years of knowledge and degrees in what youre going through...

Not offensive - it's true -- my friend pretty much did that and it makes me sick. Sometimes accidents happen - but to trap someone into supporting you just b/c you feel the need to have a kid right this second - or think he's going to marry you is messed up...

But then - I try to respect other people and not do things to mess with them - the same can not be said for people I meet at all so.....

Plus, if the father is in the Marines, the Marines will pay the child support...

I think he's Navy -- but she already knows he's gonna be forced to pay -- I still think it's effed up!

Umm... no they won't. They'll force the father to pay the child support, but they won't spend a dime of their money. It comes from his check.

Relationship advice on a forum is a lot like pissing in the wind. Sure it's fun but ultimately it’s going to come back all over your face.

Sorry for your rough times buddy. We all go through them, so first understand that you’re not alone in this. My fiancé is a communication major so that usually helps out our arguments/disagreements. Every relationship has arguments, it’s inevitable, but like others said it’s how you handle them that will determine the fate of your relationship. It’s ok to get frustrated and be mad. People always do things and say things they don’t mean but communication will save you every time. Whatever it is that you argue about can’t be as great as the love that you have for each other; otherwise you would have left each other and moved on already. So something is there between you two. She should understand that it’s not your fault for losing your job. Instead of being mad and frustrated, she should be supporting and encouraging you. Sometimes, encouragement and support is all a man needs. We can find our way; we just need that push from the one that we care the most about. So explain that to her.

Also, this may be a little personal, but are you two religious? My gf at the time went to a different church than I, and now that we are engaged we go to the same church and try to participate in church functions as often as possible. Again, this may be a little personal, and I don’t mean to offend anyone who is not religious/spiritual/etc, but praying together and being thankful for what you do have (i.e. each other) will help you and her understand a lot.

Relationships are by far the most complex thing a guy and girl can try to figure out because there is always going to be a different answer, a different opinion, a different belief, a different view, and a different reason you will find, but it’s ALWAYS about compromise and communication. You don’t always need money to show how much you love someone, although it does help. Maturity and past experiences help as well so try and learn from your past relationships, and explain to her exactly how you feel. Draw it on paper if you have to. Set goals and deadlines for your relationship… where are you two, where do you want to be 1 yr from now, etc… break it down where you two can agree and understand it. In a relationship it’s no longer about you as individuals, but about you as a couple.
I know it will work between you, love is an amazing thing, just make sure she knows it as often as possible. She needs to be telling you the same.

Just find a job.

If you have girl problems, just find one who is crazy about you when you are completely broke. that's the best girl to have.

we all come from dysfunctional families and have a story... get help, and don't be afraid to go to God, it doesn't make you holy to pray because you have problems... as stated earlier, internet forums aren't the best avenue to seek help... you need a person in real life to help... there are ministry centers who can (if anything) council you for a bit until you can get back on your feet... i would be willing to bet there is a big calling on your life, and there are people (who are yet to be born) that you will influence...

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AVJBM7HU dl and listen to this... i hope it blesses you
