I got promoted at work; SS here I come!
I was officially notified of my promotion. I start in 2 weeks and I'm super excited! I should be ready to get a 1SS early next year. I could get the maro now but I would be strapped for $...

dont get a maro, rather, get a Camaro.
Since your time frame is next year, I think I would hold off and see what the interior of the 2012 is going to look like, and just keep saving...

 soon I will be a Radiation Protection tech. I'm shooting for a march-April 2011 purchase. Depending on bills and stuff I should have 5-10k down. I'm sooooo happy. My Camaro dreams will be coming true soon. Now I need to decide on color and options. I'm thinking 1ss m6 BA, cgm.
