In truth, the last thing the GT500 really needs is more power; what it needs is a retuned suspension. The 2009 GT500 is just too soft and floppy for track duty, with a noted tendency toward understeer....
Power is useless without control. Good looking car I will give you that for sure

I'm in love. Love isn't a strong enough word. C'mon GM..........CHALLENGE!!........bring out the Z28!!!
Does anyone care anything about Challengers anymore? It seems like it's going to be a 2 pony race. |

It always has been if you ask me. The challenger probably won't make it to a refresh.

well it depends if they compare with $$ in mind, or performance.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

![]() ![]() ... I don't think the Challenger needs a refresh. I think most of us have already established that appearance-wise, the Chally is up to par with the Maro and 'Stang. Performance-wise too, heck in all honesty it's probably the most balls-to-the-wall, muscular one out of the three. I know in comparison to the Camaro and its sophisticated technology that isn't really GOOD, but its primitive nature DOES give it charm. :P Heck, if I can't get the Camaro for one reason or another, the Challenger is my next choice assuming they still make it. I won't buy a used car. Problem with the new Mustang is, the most pricey model is the best looking one. The GT would be better if they colored the grille the same as the body... that black thing just isn't working, heck, the V6 fascia even looks better. |

Keep in mind the Challenger will only move 10k units a year or so, so it doesnt need to sell like hott cakes in order to stay alive.
