after having to use and carry an M4 around for the last four years I dont know why everybody wants one, I dont know if its the idea of it or what. you are better off buying an AK and modding it or getting an AR-15 in like 7.62. 5.56 is worthless and in the civilian world you can't hunt with it either

I just got back from the Saxet Gun Show in Conroe, Texas. I got there at 11 and just got home @5. Of course I left for a lunch break, then went back, haha. I could spend a fortune there! Going back tomorrow, if not, then next weekend @ Reliant in Houston.

Also, now there are so many piston driven, or piston/impingement hybrids out, an AK is really outclassed IMHO. When compared, unmodified, the AR platform is more accurate (better sights), just as reliable (if maintained) and much more ergonomic. Of course, if all you need to do is spray as much lead as possible as fast as possible, and do it for cheap, then an AK still rules! |

Does anyone here know where to find reloaders for a decent price?
I'm looking for a .223 reloader. I've found a Lee Pro for $160 plus shipping but I don't know if this is a good price or not. I also need a good place to buy brass and bullets at a decent price. |

Personally I never liked Lee reloading products including the dies. Its hard to beat RCBS and Dillon. Dillon has an excellent warranty and RCBS is almost as good. I have an RCBS rock chucker single stage press that is as good as the day I bought it and its built like a tank. Palmetto State Armory has really good prices on bullets and brass but I don't know if they carry reloading equipment. Midway USA sells reloading equipment and has pretty good quantity in stock but is basically retail prices. I'd also recommend checking out Dillon's they have a wide variety of products.

I've got a Lee single stage, and it's old, and works great! All I've ever reloaded were .44 mags, but each one was a good one, lol!!
I need to get back into reloading, make things a bit cheaper!! |

Reloading isn't that much cheaper. Adding up the prices I can reload a box of 20 .223 ammo for about $8 but can't come no where near the prices of the cheap brands such as Wolf and Brown Bear.
My dad sold all of his reloading equipment some time ago (which is why I'm buying a .223 for a christmas present) and he still talks about how he could reload a box for half the price you could buy. |

Okay, I just put a 150 rounds through my new gen 4 glock 22. There is signifcantly less recoil than the previous gen 3's. I shot my gen 3 22C for a mag, then my gen 4 22 for a mag, etc.
The gen 4 grip is a couple mm thinner than the gen 3, but I don't have any of the backstraps on. (You get 2 additional backstraps with the gen 4.) The recoil is significantly less than my gen 3 22c. Granted the gen 4 is new and my gen 3 has seen 8000 plus rounds, But still it is no contest, the gen 4 is awesome. Cleaning and disassmbly are the same, with the gen 4 spring being a just a tad picky with how the recoil spring goes back in. Accuracy is standard Glock, ie: it's perfect. No malfunctions, and it goes bang everytime you want it to. SO: If you have a gen 3 or older glock, get yourself a gen 4. Plain and simple. As a side note, I picked up a new KIMBER today too. LOL. |
