Fen, yes it is. Americans don't want hatchbacks well executed or not.........and I don't even know what you mean by that. Hatches are very small segment of the market in the U.S. Do your homework. If you can show in an 11,000,000 unit market that hatches have even a 5% market share you might be in the game. But the last numbers I saw there were not 550,000 hatch backs sold last year. Teeeny tiny volume. And then if GM spends the money for this segment what would their percentage of teeeen tiny be?

Um you better take another look at the hatchback market. Motortrend shows 34 different hatchback models, of the top 10 selling cars in the US most have a hatchback model. The Prius sold over 800,000 in 2010. The numbers were so good that Honda basically cloned it with the insight. Especially in the economy class hatchbacks are king.

You're right... I should have worded my sentence better. GM empresses me more and more every day. I can't wait to see what's next. It's just when I see a new vehicle like this one, that makes me want it, and it's not offered, I tend to get frustrated very quickly. Frustration because I drink the GM Kool-Aid and I want GM to dominate in every class. In my opinion if they bring this to market it would sell and sell very well...

This right here sums up why I think the Cruze hatch should be in the states.

Here's the first new commercials. I really think they need to make these spots more exciting. But then I'm not who they're targeting with these ads.

WOW, I really like that car. Looks even better than the sedan. I hope GM reconsider's bringing it to the U.S.
