This happened about a month or so ago. Can't rememember exactly, but ssarmy was one of the culprits who was a liar. Also another guy had three aliases.
SSC Venom was his original name, he then came back at least two more times posting pics of other peoples cars using different handles. Hmm, wonder if it's him again.

Has anyone considered that this kid (AMPM1678) may-be is just a lonely kid without any friends of his own that he was willing to invent a story just to fit in?

There are kids that because for what ever reason that don`t fit in at school and they turn to and use the internet to try to make friends and to fit in somewhere in life even a made-up life, that they will invent a shared interest, in this case a Camaro.

I am sorry. It is all clear now. We should condone lies, misrepresentation, and theft..... Because after all those attributes compliment low self esteem and make for a well rounded individual.

If the kid owns up and apologizes, then I am down for forgive and forget.... He can remove the bogus car from his profile and move along discussing the Camaro we all love... Perhaps he can start talking about why he loves the Camaro, how he is saving to get one, ect...

Some people live in fantasy land and make up stories for many different reasons... As an example (and this is NOT aimed at any specific poster(s)... Every time I see a thread about who paid cash for their Camaro, it seems like 90% of this forum has... That percentage is NOWHERE even close to the national average... I assume, some fib when posting that... I really don't care as it does not bother me or effect me one bit and only add that info because I have never seen so many people pay cash for a vehicle before in my life... I am sure many have paid cash, as this in an enthusiast site, but reading through the threads the number of people who claim to have paid in full is astronomical.... So, I am sure that some have told a fib there or in other areas / posts..

Ya this kid took it over the top, but most of us are adults here, and we are talking about a 16-year-old kid here... Many of us have kids in that age range... I also assume he may have some mental heath issues as well....

If the kid ponies up and apologizes, then we should all the the bigger person / adult and accept it....

Please add: "delusional" to the poll so I can properly vote.

I just don't get what is in it for the person to create an alternate universe. I can understand not correcting someone who says you have the V8 vs the V6, or a manuel vs auto, but to create this elaborate persona? I just don't get it.
