HOLY CRAP. That video just saved that cop. Why? When something like that happens the very first thing people think is, "Oh the cop was chasing him". Of course, the video CLEARLY shows the guy passed up the cop and he never even saw him. Sometimes videos help, sometimes they get misconstrued and look bad.

I have to wonder what happened to the driver.

I'll post my reply here to keep one active thread. HOLY CRAP! I saw a news video that says he lived and is only listed in critical condition (19 year old kid). He should be on a bookshelf in a bunch of glass jars driving like that.

It's kinda sad that the cops feel so victimized these days, since so many in the public will accuse them of over-reaching, abuse and blah blah blah while they are only doing their job. I have a neighbor who's a cop who feels the same, and friends in Philly PD that worry more about gettin misrepresented on someones home video than the job they are hired for.
