FYI I drive all of our development cars constantly as daily drivers. We just took both the Camaro and Mustang across the state for the Woodward Cruise. I can't say I drive them everyday, because I alternate vehicles, but I do drive them a lot. The Mustang has about 9K and the Camaro 15K. These are testing miles, take the kids to school miles, drag strip 1/4 miles.... I took my daughters to church camp in the Mustang, about a 7 hour drive. The year before we took the Camaro.

It is one thing to drive a car on a track or for a day. It is another to live with it. I like to live with the cars as I believe it breeds better end results suspension parts.

Both cars have been warranty work free. Think about that two American Muscle Cars driven really hard are WARRANTY FREE!!!!

Am I saying the Camaro is perfect? HELL NO!

Am I happy with the product as delievered? HELL YES!

After owning 6 other Camaros spread out across 4 gens, I can tell you hands down this is the best built Camaro to date.

No car is without flaws....you accept what they are and learn to live with them. You want the bitchin low roof, you learn how to drive with it.Mustang has them as well as the Camaro...just the way it is.

You're happy as can be with your 5.0

I'm happy as can be with my SS

Sounds like a win win no?

A chariot axle that is Superior to the Camaro IRS. Ford has passed Chevrolet with it's old SRA and set it's sights on a real competitor the BMW M3. Capiche?

The SRA must not be too bad, when it was tested against the M3 which also has an IRS it was very competitive.
When the Camaro SS can outhandle the SRA in a Mustang stock for stock with a system that should outhandle an SRA get back to me until then leave your opinion to yourself. BMW's handling is a benchmark to almost all car manufacturers for performance. If Ford can build a Mustang with a SRA that is competitive with an M3, Chevrolet has a long way to go.

Comparing to an M3? Think you are overrating the pony.

OK, I've seen the track and number comparisions, but the Beamer is a hole different class of ride. (and payment, too) Mustang is def. the better bang for the buck, but I bet the M3 gets you laid more.

M6 v. M6 is a total drivers race....

A6 vs. A6 would be a route in favor of the 5.0...without a doubt in my mind.

even if it isn't, is the marginally better performance worth the cost of having an uglier vehicle?

only the individual consumer can answer that I guess

I believe the fastest stock L99 was a 12.8 and the fastest stock A6 5.0 was a 12.5.
