Not sure if you have access or not to an EPP program for Dell (Employee Purchase Program). If you don't you can go to www.dell.com/epp and it may save you 10%+ or so on your order. Just select large corporation from the drop down. If you end up needed a number to order, I maybe able to help.

Well, I don't know what happened but my shipping status said cancelled, so I called Dell and the guy didn't know why either. He asked if what I ordered is what I still wanted. I said yes and he told me he was a little confused. He said that alienware is good, but most people don't buy the bare minimum because you can get a much better computer for the same price. He told me about XPS 8100, gave me a great deal because I was searching while he was rambling and I decided this was a better option.

I really didn't do my research prior. My co-worker has alienware and recommended it. As I've stated before, I've been away from desktop computers since 2002, so I just took his word for it. I'm much happier with the XPS.

Since my computer should be in tomorrow, internet is on the mind. I know that the faster the better, but what's good enough? I plan on playing some games, but i'm not going to be hardcore. MIGHT try starcraft 2. WoW is a good possibility because i have co-workers on it. Anyway, I'm probably going to go with cox. The lowest package is 3Mbps. the next up is 10Mbps. Obviously the latter is better, but would 3Mbps be enough?

Was thinking about going with the 3Mbps, and if it's too laggy, then upgrade...

Who offers the 10MPS package? I have 6MPS but it averages about 5.25MPS when I check it on speedtest.net.
