sorry the english is so bad. what im saying is the BOSS-R is 8200 and the street boss is 7500. i wasnt clear. we are not sure if the street boss302 intake is the same. i highly doubt ford used exactly the bossR's intake.

boss R =8200
boss=7500

the rods are just stronger versions of the coyote GT forged rods.


i would no longer be suprised by a BOSS351 and BOSS429 limited editions now, using the hurricane engine. in 6.2 liter version it makes 500hp.

Hm..I wouldnt be shocked if Ford made track only BOSS 429's. I am not sure they would make them street legal due to not wanting to compete with GT500 sales.

They already have the Cobrajet Mustangs as race-only cars, I doubt a Boss 429 is in the cards.

Man I sure hope so and I hope they keep them around for the duration of the current generation. I won't be in the market before late 2012 or early 2013 and if these are still available I will be all over one, in yellow blaze with stripe delete. On paper at least this looks like the best dollar-for-dollar sports coupe ever built. Every aspect of this car has been addressed and improved significantly and it wasn't exactly shoddy to begin with. What a way for Ford to reward their enthusiasts. The only thing that makes me curious is why it's offered in kona blue but not grabber considering the heritage of the color.

The potential with a supercharger or turbo is pretty scary for the boss. (lower weight)

The Boss 302 has top speed of 155 MPH???? My V6 Camaro does 155 MPH am I missing something? Is the 302 governer that restrictive, whats the point?

my GT500 is capped at 155mph...


mostly it's the tires that usually guide what the max speed is on a car.


then again, 99.9% of owners never get that high.

how long does it take your camaro to get there? how long does it take the regular 5.0 to get to 155? that is the difference.

the hurricane 6.2 block that is in the 2011 f350 expands to 429 inches easily. there are plans for 4 valve heads and DI for the hurricane.
