That's a great vehicle, and paid off happens to be my favorite color. Enjoy the hell out of it and don't crash into a tree doing a Ken Block impression.

Snow Bunnies

You won't be disappointed with the AWD, especially the STI.

When the weather gets crappy, you'll be the go-to-guy. All your friends will be wanting you to venture forth to pick up the food and booze because your can defeat the elements. You may even be able to provide aid and comfort to a few snow bunnies

Hope you don't try to be the first post again since you really open your BIG________ on this one. I agree with many of the other post that you made a GREAT purchase for yourself, not what's her face and it will get you around in thse mountains of beautiful Colorado. Great choice for college and your winter sport. Michael

hahahaa. AWD helps in snow, a lot.
But where the difference is made? Tires. My 91 Caprice Classic with limited slip can out-handle, out-accelerate, and out-stop most any 4x4 in winter when she's wearing winter tires, and the 4x4 is using all season/stock tires.

Also, a lot relies on driver ability. AWD isn't a save-all and end-all to avoid accidents!

Nice Subie anyway!

Nice ride. I don't like the wing, but hey, opinions, everyone has one.

Cool!

My other car (AWD)

My other car is an AWD Subaru also. Probubly the best looking and first real sporty car they built. Originally 230 HP boxer 6 with an Auto, But a supercharger and a STi 6-speed conversio changed that.

I had a Subaru Loyale that would let you put it in neutral, red line, & drop it in drive. Reverse stopped working for a while, and I had to park to where I could drive straight out, but it lasted until I got a newer vehicle.

I will seriously consider a new WRX STI (if they're still making them) when my wife gets her Camaro.

Gratz on the purchase.

I looked at all models and was about 30 seconds from buying an 07 in grey, but when I asked the guy if I could compression test it before the buy (he was somewhat shady) he said, "no, that's not good for the car." I argued with him for a bit and he got mad and said I didn't know what I was talking about. Yeah, ok pal. I prefer the 04-05 "blob" lights to any of the others and I personally don't love hatches. I'm currently in Nebraska, almost to Colorado. I'll post info once I get the exhaust/tune/injectors/pump on and fill it with corn. Hoping for ~350awhp/390awtq

I have always had a soft spot for Subaru's. I am not a big import fan, but I liked the "We are going to do it our way, and screw you if you don't like it." attitude. The only problem is that most STI's have been beaten like a deaf mule.
