I really think the 440hp is VERY conservative number considering the changes and upgrades from the GT are:

Boss 302R Intake
Forged Pistons
Forged Con-Rods
Race-Spec Main and Rod Bearings
Sodium Filled Exhaust Valves
Hi-Lift Cams
7500 RPM Limit
CNC’d Heads
Oil Cooler
Larger Radiator
Revised Radiator Plumbing
Revised Oil Pan Baffling
Race Inspired Clutch
3.73 Axle Ratio
Finned Aluminum Diff Cover
Limited Slip Diff with carbon fiber plates (Torsen Limited Slip Available)
Quad Exhaust

Anyone know if the compression ratio is changed from the GT to the Boss.

Did they up the compression for the Boss?

It are ok cause the look are subject.

Course this post could be missing part of sentence that make it good.

Looks are subjective, really they are.

Rods are just falling out all over the place on these new 5.0 motors:

http://www.stangtv.com/news/new-prod...r-on-the-dyno/

15% drivetrain loss would equal 600+HP at the crank.

Kept waiting for the engine to blow... then I realized the sarcasm.

I personally like all the option's since when are options a bad thing?

I think the Boss 302 is the biggest leap forward for the auto industry to come out of Detroit in a long time since the originals back in the 60's. Ford listened to its customers and delivered big time......But it seems like Caniac Fan doesn't like the Boss 302 because there's too many versions of the 2011 Mustang already.

agreed...

i'm happy it's a 2012 model... i could see myself in the stripped down version of the boss. would be insane if ford offered the same supercharger package it does optional on the gt500 and put down more power then the shelby with a factory warranty intact.

there might be another trade in coming in a year or so!

Yes and no...while Yenko Sportscars, Inc. is best known for it's engine conversions, Chevrolet COPO option 9737 was listed on internal paperwork as the "Yenko Sports Car Conversion option", as Don Yenko requested the COPO option. Because of Don's road racing background, he had visions of his cars as being the total package...brutal power for straightline performance, but handling options for the twistys.
