screw the warranty, I would rather have 99 more horses If I owned a mustang or any SC car.

I think I would go with the 1 year warranty, then when it expires, swap pulleys and tunes and get the 600hp.

Look, I am not trying to bash the Camaro here, however comparing certain aspects of visibility to its competition and everything may sound like a bash. For example, every Camaro owner can vouch for this but when you pull up to a stop light, many times you cannot see the street light and have to move your head forward and look up to see when the light changes. If you pull out to the center of an intersection, you have to do the same thing. With the Mustang you don't have to do that at all ever since the roof is higher up like most other vehicles. When you look over your shoulder, you see the road and cars coming where in the Camaro looking at the same angle you see the pillar. Those are my only major complaints with the interior of the Camaro since they have to do with safety.

Looks like the same angle, but your right, it needs to be from the same distance.

Not doubting your observations, just curious to see it for myself.

but but but, the 5.0 internals can't handle boost, they can only handle stock power levels and bolt ons!

Crowley's sig says 600 RWHP with a blower and some simple mods.

No internal work to get more HP at the tire than Ford is offering at the crank.

It works both ways. People hate on everything that isn't theirs to love. I don't think anyone said anything even close to hating on the ls3 though. . . This is big news because the majority of people here said the 5.0 wouldn't handle boost and isn't any stronger than the 4.6.

I would do the same as you. A warranty is important with these superchargers at first.

All I have to say is .. In the voice of George Takei.....Oh My!!!!!!... Wow, 750HP...What the heck am I going to do with this much power??

We all know those GT500's are too slow. They need that 750HP and then they'll be fast..Stupid fast..

I know, the Z28 will have the SC & warranty...

Wake UP GM!!!
They are WIDE awake. GM has Ford well beat when it comes to crate motors and aftermarket products.

If you want to try and act like Ford is something special for offering this, be my guest. Most of us know that VERY few actually do this to their cars.

The GM supercharger offered is nothing more than the supercharger! You'll need to add roughly another $4K to the process as well as kiss your factory warranty bye-bye. It's not a complete kit...you'll need pulleys, drives, intercooler parts, tune, etc, etc, etc.

Once again, GM has been left behind by the blue oval!
In case you didn't notice you kissed all but 1 year of your factory warranty away with the Ford kit.

Again, VERY few people will buy this. So GM is quite competitive and has outsold the Mustang handily over the past many months. So if this makes you feel like Ford has an edge for those VERY few customers, then ok.

That aside, that's a pretty beastly kit. 624hp is no laughing matter...
Only for a few customers.

And I'm sure you guys know that you can supercharge your Camaro and get a warranty from the guys that do it, right? I've seen 3/36 warranties offered.

10 hp/psi is the rule of thumb I've always heard for OEM HP. So 2 psi resulting in 100 hp seems a bit much.

Good for Ford for making this available. But it isn't any indication of GM's capability or understanding of this market. So instead of trying to bash GM, which is pointless, use it to give kudos to Ford which they deserve.
