I guarantee we will be seeing 500whp NA 5.0L in less in 1 year.
I do...if the rod issue still exists, then you're limited to 425 - 450 whp unless you want some cool extra holes in your block.

Detune the LS7 to 475 and insert in a SS and call it a day.
Quite clear that Ford is going for the jugler to stop the Camaro. GM better wake up and fast. There is PLENTY of profit in this car to give it whatever HP it needs to stop Ford in thier tracks. No need for a model to compete with the BOSS, just Give the SS more HP and a better Gear.

The 4.6 rods have been proven to be fine up to 475hp.. The new rods are even better and should have no problem..

I've seen multiple 4.6 blocks blow up on the dyno that say otherwise...not trying to be an ass, just calling it like it is.

* If you're talking 475 crank HP then you are 100% correct * just wanted to clarify that

Today, I went to the track with our 2011 Mustang GT auto.

We installed a 4.10 last night. Previous mods were Stainless Works Headers, Catted Mid-Pipe, and Catback, Livernois Motorsports Dyno Tune, and skinnies/drag radials.

The car still has the stock airbox and no suspension mods other than a swaybar relocation bracket.

The weather was horrible

Density Altitude - 2698
Air Temp - 87 Degrees F
Barometric Pressure - 28.89 Inches Hg
Relative Humidity - 75%

Best ET 11.90 @ 116 mph

We need some better air!

+1 on hearing about multiple blowups on the 4.6.

Ford is making all the right moves, good job Ford. It will be interesting to see final pricing on the BOSS.

440hp. Not bad.

I am more interested in the suspension though.

Do like that this thing will come with forged pistons and rods though.
