Oh, i am sure, i think Chrysler nor GM will be able to offer adirect competitor for the Boss, I also don't think it will be 43k, I'll throw 38,995 out there and worth every penny

Now I see what that cutout on top of the dash was for.

Love the exhaust with the side pipe cutouts

I can look over it because, simply, it's functional. The chin spoiler, rear diffuser, even the rear spoiler hold that chin and booty to the ground. This car is truly designed for the track, gotta love it. Function over form, how often do you see that?

Not very often these days. Barring most of the cars discussed on this site, design vs functionality has gone the way of something out of Idiocracy.

The package that everyone is looking at here in red and black is the Laguna Seca edition. It has rear seat delete, etc and is meant to be a pure track car. The regular street Boss has more comfort items etc. Still no word on price yet, most are expecting 40K+.

guys this color combo is only for the laguna seca editions(not street legal)

the street boss has no body color grill/rims, that look better.
i expect this car to go for 40k, the price should change much. it has no other options other than torque-sensing (Torsen) limited-slip differential is an coupled with Recaro front seats.

This car is another reason why GM should not call their upcoming car a Z/28. Ford is sticking to the on how they name their cars, and I hope GM does not do a disservice to the Trans-Am era with a Z/28 misnomer. They need to call their supercharged car a ZL1 and then make a 4th model: a lightweight (relatively, you bloated Zeta), Boss-fighter called a Z/28.

Other than the somewhat cheesy 2-tone job on the Boss, it's a knockout. Look at that splitter!

I think I would like red with white, GM should make the Z to compete with this and then bring back the Trans-Am to compete with the Shelby. Realistically, though, I don't see GM spending that much on retooling for two cars.

True, I'm sure the other color combo's will look better. I think the wheels are throughing me off on this combo. If they can keep this car under 40k it will be a big hit.

Bingo! That's exactly what I was thinking while looking at that pic. I agree with you man, I'm not into flashy colors, etc. but now that it's been told what this color combo is associated with, they'll probably sell well.

Ford Unveiled their new track car....

2012 Mustang BOSS 302 http://www.youtube.com/user/motortre.../0/lCRp9PussNU

I know the Z/28 was always our best track car and fastest but can it take out both the Shelby GT500 & new Boss Mustang? I'm hoping it can....
