My Grandpa wants to buy a Camaro

He has been loking at rustangs but they don't have crap for room.

He drove Caddy's my entire life then bought a Lincoln the last time around cause they were bigger n cheaper at the time [they traveld allot for the VFW] and Caddy would not deal with him. [dumb in my book, snub a loyal customers who buys a new car every 3-5 yrs or less if the whim hit him or see's one he likes.]

He been buggin my Mom an Aunt to let him trade it in but they got another yr till their money troubles are over [SS screwed my Grandma, comes back years later n said oops, we paid you to much, now you don't get anything, screwing up their budget.]

He just told me this 3 mins ago and I had to contain my excitement over the thought of one in the family.

Im still holding out for a 2012 Firebird

That is so cool -- tried to convince my gramps to get one when he visited and rode in mine -- man needs a new car (He's got a Lincoln too & the thing is like in pristine condition -- it looks like no one ever sat in it! Car's over 20 years old!!)

On another note, how are you going to get a 2012 Firebird when there is no more Pontiac? Or am I missing something?

This grandpa bought a 2010 2SS LS3. And I love it. And my grandson loves to ride in it. He calls it the race car. lol...

Sure wish our local Chevy dealer here in Oregon, Oh had folks active on this board like other dealers do. I don't want to make any formal request at the dealership or make any promises but if I had a "friend" in the works, it could sure help to push the deal over the edge next june when he will be able to buy.

Problem is the Lincoln is starting to need stuff done and he ends up spending hours on the furd lot with nothing to do but look at cars.

I spent yesterday flushing the power steering on it for him as it was nasty burned up fluid and it got tough to turn. Though even then he said its not like a GM or Caddy even when it was new, you have to use effort to turn, can't use the one finger on the wheel like a GM.

We had a 93 year old gentleman buy a 1LT back in April, he is living alone at a local retirement complex.

He just traded it in on a Cobalt. We asked him if he didn't like the Camaro, and he said "Yes, I absolutley LOVE it, but the single gals in the complex won't leave me alone, and were always bugging me for a ride!"

Nice story Scotty.... OP, you do know that Pontiac doesn't exist anymore, right? You're unfortunately not going to see that 2012 Firebird. Who knows, they quit building Camaro's in 2002 and we're back!!!!
