Between the two I don't think depreciation will be worth more than enjoying the Mustang for 2 years and then getting the latest Camaro down the road.

As for the head room, the Mustang convertible as mentioned earlier in this thread has more than an inch more head room (torso - head) than the Camaro coup. When the Camaro convertible is available, that may change. For now, the Mustang fits me better.

You don't have to explain yourself. Get what you want because it's your money. You made the money so spend it like you want. People are more mad you went with the Mustang than anything else.

Even if you sat in the car right in front of some of these people and they could see your head touching the roof someone would say you were making it up or sitting up too straight. Enjoy your car.

Well......this was a surprise.

The Ford dealer messed up on the order and put in for a coupe rather than a rag-top....they quoted me for the coupe (they knew better) and the price jumped well above what I expected (though it was still ok) but the deal killer was "Ford is pushing for quality and slowed down their assembly line so we won't see your car for another 3-4 months." THAT was the last straw. I went down the the dealer today, griped about this double-checked erroroneous order, the fact that the guy who ordered it for me ignored my emails trying to determine the status, and the general lack of attention to detail, and that nobody wants their new convertible in WINTER unless they live in the south.......and cancelled my order.

I will now wait for the Camaro convertible to be available to order and will get what I wanted in the first place.

Thanks for all the great input all, fate was with the Camaro after all! Scotty, or another dealer that knows when the order queue starts up for the 'vert, please PM me if you would.

I hate stupid car dealers/salesmen.

I have been very fortunate with my past several car purchases and have dealt with really great folks. The last 2 purchases, I wrote the owner a thank you letter for the great experience and personally thanked my salesman. I cannot be happier.
