Thats a predictable statement coming from a N/A community, but the BMW has less turbo lag than the other 3 turbo cars I have owned. This car is considered to have "no lag". Especially when chipped which I am. Still, something is tempting about a nice V8.. |

Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

I recently had a chance to drive the 135i as well. I was given the key and told "have fun!". It's a solid car. Performance wise 135i hands down, look wise 335ci def. I just don't like the side/rear profile of the 135i. As op mentioned, the paddles work great. Tap to upshift and thumb press for downshift -- on both left and right side of the steering wheel. Even though the new Z was chosen to be winner against this, I still wouldn't mind driving one.

No.
I test drove one and my buddy owns one, and even he talks about the turbo lag.

I just returned from a year in Germany, while there I spent a weekend in a 135i. That car is meant to be driven on the Autobahn, it was a fun car to drive. I test drove a lot of BMWs & Mercedes, the 135i is a fun little car. If I was going to buy one I would have bought a 335i, being in the military I could have saved several thousands - but wanted some America Muscle instead. Munich builds a great car but so does Bowling Green!!!!!
