The downfall of Business

If you make a lot of phone calls to various businesses you know what I mean. You dial the phone and get a long winded recording instructing you to do this or that. You follow the prompts to get to another set of options. My favorite is when you enter someones name on the keypad and in response you get "that is an invalid entry" I know there ways to circumvent this but sometimes you just can't. GRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr.........

It's like how do they expect to win somebody's business if they won't even talk to you?!?!?

One thing I can never understand is why some companies can't get one person to call back and spend ten minutes on the phone with me when I am trying to do an article on them. Not trying to sell them anything - just trying to get some quotes or information that I can attribute to them in the piece. There are some people you just can't help...

If you ask to speak to someone from the states they'll transfer you right away. Works like a charm all the time.

lot of times ill just pound numbers like a idiot to mess with the automated system that will send ya to a live person.

Then ya lie and say I was told to call back and ask for lvl 2 support, which will be in the US.
