I was discussing this Camaro vs Mustang vs Challenger topic with a friend of mine last week. I think we're going to see a stalemate develop, in terms of HP, between these three very soon. If not, we will be seeing production cars that produce well in excess of 550 crank hp. You know all of the aftermarket performance companies are salivating at this point though....

Add in the Z28 and GT500 at roughly the same HP rating. I think its going to be a very big problem then. Mostly because they'll need to start finding solutions for the very big problem of being unable to handle that much HP at the wheels without very expensive suspension and tires. |

Im sure we'd see more problems than reported with the Camaro if the IRS would allow them to get the same violent launches the SRA allows the Mustang. |

The front end on the 2010 LS3 and L99 Camaro's I have driven never, ever raised as high or as quickly as the 2011 5.0 Auto and stick I drove. Was it there? sure..is there on my Challenger too. Does the front end get light on WOT like on the Mustang? hell no |

Yep, that will do it as well. I've just read more than a few stories about guys roasting clutches. Of course they are quick to point out that they "get on it from time to time but nothing outside the ordinary". I don't know of too many people with even an oz of common sense that would tell everyone about an issue with their new car and openly admit to doing what you said LOL. It's more than likely people venting due to the fact that they messed their new car up. Our mechanic has a specific catagory for people like that, he calls it ESTO. Equipment Smarter Than Operator

I see SRTs at the track here in Bradenton, none of 'em run quicker than low 13s. He seems to think his 5.7 Challenger will run 13 flat at sea level. No way in hell. |

And a recent picture of my engine bay: ![]() If necessary I will go and take pictures with a card that says "For Camaro5.com Forums on (insert date here)" in every picture and prove my car is stock except for the K&N CAI. Exhaust, tires, exhaust manifold, throttle body, everything. I will also show the tires that have been worn down from trips down the 1320 and every day use. I can also post a video of my car running a 13.47 in 1900+ foot DA too if that helps. I cant right now beacause I am at work and Youtube and Photobucket is blocked. And I used the dragtimes DA calculator and converter to ESTIMATE what the run would be at sea level. It has never run below 1500 feet in its entire life. That your 5.7 runs 13.2 makes no sense. |

Thats the track it was run at, as can be confirmed from the time slip. My slowest run has been 13.6 in 2300 foot DA, I average 13.3's and 4's in 1900 foot DA. |
