Duh. PS3. With the 360 you have to pay for live. With the PS3, online play is free. Also PS3 has a blue ray player. Also PS3 has better racing games (Gran Turismo 5 coming soon). Also PS3 has better graphics and plays in full HD. Also PS3 is more durable (trust me i got to routy boys) Also PS3 has impeccable japenese reliablility. Ive never had a problem with my PS3. And ive heard many horror stories with the Xbox's "red ring of death".

Xbox live is only $50 for a year. That's less than $4.17 a month. It's a much better setup. Yes, some Xbox's get the "red rings of death." If that happens within 3 years, Microsoft will fix it for free including shipping. "Impeccable japanese reliability"? Is that what you base your car buying on?

ps3 because my brother bought a ps3 and i alredy have a ton of games,

once my brother moves out im not gonna sell all my games that i bought for 60$ and only getting around 20-30$ for them, so i think im gonna buy another ps3

IMO: the 360 controller is more confortable than the ps3 controller but its more confusing to use like if you dont own a 360 and your at your friends house and he says press the right bumber?

Xbox Live is light years better than the PS3's online system. You get what you pay for.
My friend's dad threw his Xbox 360 out a second story window and it still worked. That's durability.
Red rings of death problem is irrelevant because Microsoft will gladly send you a new Xbox.

And people bought tundras based on "impeccable japanese reliability." Their tailgates cracked, their transmissions blew out, and their camshafts snapped.

I own both and PS3 online is poop compared to XBOX live...and I own the latest Grand Turismo...lets just say I haven't even put 5 hrs into it...Forza 2 on the other hand, gets to be addictive. As Ive posted on another thread there are games that Ive been addicted to on XBOX, and so far for my PS3 the search has been in vain...but when I do find something for PS3 I go gaga over Ill be sure to let ya know!

+1, had an "ex" box... had to return it, FAILED!!

PS3, no problems, HD, easy peezy set up. Stunning graphics, and I dont even play it. Its for my kid, but when we put the HD cable I bought into the system WOW!!!!!!

Also the PS3 we got is backward compatible with 95% of the old games. Thank god all the old systems are out the window!!!

PS3.

The 3rd party games are all going multi-platform and any good 3rd party games that are currently just out for 1 system or the other will be shortly coming out for the other system. This means that when comparing the 2 systems the only things you should really be comparing are the 1st party games and the hardware. Sony constantly makes real good 1st party games where as MS's 1st party games are hit or miss (mostly miss) and most of the good MS 1st party games are shooters (which I'm not that big of a fan of).

The PS3 has a much higher graphic and processing potential then the 360 (which hasn't been fully tapped into yet. Hideo Kojima even made a comment about wishing he knew about earlier as he would have done a better job on MGS:4!). I've been hearing from numerous sources that Sony currently is working on increasing the Blue-ray disk space and is even working on a 400gb Blue-ray Disk, if this is true, the 360 can not compete with this until the next Xbox then they will have to pay Sony royalties to use the Blue-ray disk reader. And lets not forget Sony has designed and has said that the PS3 is a 10 year system. The PS3 is what 2-3 years old, so then the PS3 still has 7-8 years before Sony starts work on the PS4. MS already has designs on the table for the next Xbox so if you buy a 360 now, you'll have 2-3 years before you have to buy the new system as MS will stop all work and development on any 360 games when the next Xbox is close to be released.

I put PS3 because *I* want one; for the Blu-Ray. I don't really have any other good reason, just a sort of loyalty for the good ol' PS2. But, the boyfriend wants an X-box, so an X-box we shall have; plus possibly a Blu-Ray player as hopefully my DVD's that were stolen are getting replaced on Blu-Ray this Christmas. But I don't play games very often, so since he does, his preference wins.

Man are the accessories and games expensive though... but to be fair, I haven't even looked at the PS3's stuff, so I have no comparison.
