Psh, you don't even think people should compare the Volt to the Pious ... you're vastly under-qualified for the job. *cough*The Volt is a hybrid *cough*

Personally, I would like my GM title to be either "Executive in charge of Cutting Through the Bullsh*t" or "Vice President of Global Long Term Strategy". I'm pretty sure that neither job exists, but both are probably sorely needed.

that's great. I'd still like to see them combine Prius racing and the Monster truck series...

Tried to start it with a power pack, killed the interior lights

Seems there is a common problem on Grand Ams with corrosion on the battery cables, so I'll check them first. But I suspect there will be other problems that aren't as easy to fix.
Well, turns out the battery was a dud. Got it checked and it read '---' for cold cranking amps. So got a replacement under warranty, put it in and everything works. Best case scenario.

I can once again unleash my 3.4L of pushrod FWD fury on the roads!

Wow, what are you doing to that car? Mine is 9 years old, and I still have the original battery.

Don't write off the good old 3.4L. Mine does a 15.8 quarter...not bad for a car that got 38 mpg on the last tank. I bet I can get 250,000 or more miles out of it too.
