I ordered my 2011 Candy Apple Red Mustang GT California Special Convertible yesterday and it's killing me.

Please no flames, I feel bad enough already, but hopefully in 2 years, I'll have it traded in and have a nice new 2012/2013 Camaro.

In pennance, I'll still be here reading and drooling over the car I WANT rather than the car I hope to enjoy in the interim.

I've now done my public confession, please stay your hands and go lightly with the whip!

Makes no sense to buy a car you don't like. IF you feel that bad about the purchase then why would you buy it? Sorry but I just don't get it.

Thanks all, was afraid of the flames, but didn't get a one. I also appreciate the suggestions, I was able to fit (barely) with the seat down and way back, but just barely. In the 4G Camaros I could get by due to the T-Tops, but 'til the convertible is available, I'll be brushing the ceiling, especially with a sunroof....which is hard to pass up.

I'll post a pic when the Mustang arrives, I plan to jazz it up a bit to soften the blow. I'm sure I'll be happy with it, especially knowing that the Camaro is still going to happen eventually.

Appreciate all the support

The reason is this:
I have no Muscle car, I want one....I prefer the Camaro.
The one I want isn't available the way I want it.
I got the Ford Z-Plan family discount on the Mustang, it fits me better as a conv.
I' get the GM Family Discount as well, so I probably won't lose much on the trade.
I get a fast car that I fit in NOW, and I'll get what I prefer later.

The logic is admittedly hard to see, but it makes sense atm.

congrats on the mustang, and beautiful color(seen one in town like it), buttt......

i'm almost 6'4, 285 pounds, and i fit in my old 5th gen like it was nothing. come on now. i never hit my head, nor did i have to duck to get in it, i set the seat all the way down(your tall enough to see with it let all the way down, promise) and had a little lean on the seat(not the gangsta lean or anything), and i felt perfect in the car, like a glove.

and people complain that the camaro is too big??? come on folks. if it's not one thing it's another

The 2011 Mustang GT is sick guys..seriously. If he said a 2008 GT, I'd say ok....you guys are right, but that 400+ V8 is no joke.

The camaros are too fast, if you want to live longer purchase a ford, you made the right choice congrads.

nice car,, I thought convertibles typically have less head room (with the top up ofcourse). Maybe I was wrong...

Who am I to say you made a good or bad decision. You can be the judge of that. Both are fast fun cars...
