Just to fill you a soldier with 5 years of service thats enlisted is only taking home 2600 a month or so, then BAH if they are married which is probably about a grand. A new PVT in the army living on post makes 20k there abouts. Not big money here folks. But if your making 20 grand and your housing, food, medical is all taking care of you have descent disposable income.
No shit!!! I know how it all works....

He was born rich, and has dual residency..Oklahoma and Panama.

Now on to the subject at hand....you need to quit wrecking cars, I know sometimes life throws you curveballs. I hope everything gets back to normal soon.

There are probably lots of people on here who parents bought their cars for them... So what... maybe they never mention that part...

I wish I had the money to buy my boys their first nice cars... Sorry guys...

I wish my parents could have bought my first car... didn't happen...

Lots of people get on here and talk about the haters because you own the Camaro... and yet so many of you are right here hating on the OP because of what his family has provided for him... Lighten up...

Yes, the OP seems to have some bad luck related to cars... it hasn't effected you guys... He wants to talk about money, thats his business...

It's funny there is a thread started today about how great this forum is... everyone is helpful, informative etc... and here so many people are in here busting 2SSArmys chops...

I don't care for everything the guy has posted, and maybe he does bring some of it on himself, again... so what... It doesn't effect me... Some of the stuff he post is hysterical... some of it not so much...

If anyone could please show me a post where I "bragged" about my money. Everytime I mention how much money I have it's because someone on here decides to tell me it's impossible for me to own what I own or how spoiled I am because I have the cars I do. Just look at the way some of you responded to this thread. I decided to post the value of the car so you knew it's a fairly expensive car I just totaled. This one was nearly one of a kind down here, with custom rims, and interior, only 1 other like it was sold in Panama. It's a hard loss. My mom loved the car and would spend hours cleaning it. Her dream was always to have a Benz in the family.

By the way, I know how to drive. The totalled acura some girl texting ran into me. Swerved through 4 lanes into me. We found out the traction control system on my benz was busted and that contributed to the total loss of traction on a curb. Roads here suck and the tires I had on the Benz were not the best. Anyway, traction control went off, the back end of the car went out, tried to correct, hit the tree. Could of been a lot worse. I avoided going into the tree and just hit it on the side of the car and bounced off. Pretty sure we would of all been hurt badly if I had gone straight in.

Insurance company has got to be loving you right now. My son totaled my '01 Jeep Wrangler last June (he was 19, classified as an inexperienced driver in NC [license less than 3 yrs]), insurance hit him with 5 points (not cited by police department though - claimed he didn't stop quickly enough).

Rates went from $240 p/mo to $475. We bought him an 01 Jetta as a replacement car for $5000 and had to drop collision to get the rates back down to a mere $250 p/month for the next three (3) years.

So far, 13 months with no tickets or accidents... We did sign him up for driving school though too.

Driving really is a priviledge and not a right.. Good Luck, take care of that Camaro.

BMW 335 cost upwards to 70k.
M3 cost over 100k
Benz start at about 70k-250k
The SS costs 58k down here.

Different companies for all our cars so our rates never go up. Anyway I got extremely lucky. 3 days ago I made a payment on my insurance on the Benz (I had forgot to pay it when I was in the US). Paid a lot $$$ to get it back on insurance too. Thank god I remembered out of nowhere and paid is all I got to say.

Buy a Maybach next, or maybe just hire a personal driver.

LOL, looks like he certainly could afford to!

My uncle is insanely rich ( a millionaire) and he never bought any of his kids (3 sons) a *single* vehicle. They had to do it all for themselves. I think that's the way to do it, personally. Too many kids don't appreciate the value of what they have 'cos they're parents just give it to them. Hence all the accidents we're seeing.

Of course they (my cousins) are in for a hefty inheritance when the time comes, but for now they have to do it all for themselves.

happy to hear you are safe man. Grab your insurance check and go grab a 2nd camaro. No worries then!

BTW army pays just fine. Wife is a pv2 in teh army we live in post housing with our 3 children. I make typical non-college money. We do just fine. It's all about how you handle your money. We dont drink, smoke eat out excessively or make crazy impulse purchases. We buy in bulk and save where/when we can. Living on base not only means no rent it also means ZERO utilities. Go army
Hoo aah
