Dear BP, eff you!

I was running around in my civic yesterday when I noticed the gas light on - oops. For fear of running out of gas I found BP first... The stupid automatic turn off didn't work on the nozzle and I got gas EVERYWHERE. I had to run around with my damn windows open in the stupid hot/humid weather because I was getting ridiculously high from the fumes. I was so angry.

If that would have been the camaro, it would have been on. Although, sure it's still my fault for not catching the tank was full... but their equipment should work!!!! Oh wait... BP, that's right.

LOL....I hear you, but just like the spill in the gulf....

BP doesn't run the gas station, the equipment isn't theirs, etc......just because BP gas is sold their doesn't mean they are on the hook for everything.....

As in the gulf, there was another company running the rig, another company's equipment used in the drilling, etc....BP just pays all of them to get the oil out of the ground....the only reason BP is at all on the hook is because they have the deepest pockets...

But, back to your post, I hate when that happens.....

yep BP doesn't own the majority of "its" gas station, just like a MC Donalds.

Though id call your local regulatory so they fix that pump as no one will know until ya say something.

Just gotta change the handle end, they should have spares on hand anyways incase someone forgets to pull the nozzle out and drives off, they are designed to brake off.

I don't think the whole story is out on that yet...

Quote:
The morning the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded, a BP executive and a Transocean official argued over how to proceed with the drilling, rig survivors told CNN's Anderson Cooper in an exclusive interview.

The survivors' account paints perhaps the most detailed picture yet of what happened on the deepwater rig -- and the possible causes of the April 20 explosion.

The BP official wanted workers to replace heavy mud, used to keep the well's pressure down, with lighter seawater to help speed a process that was costing an estimated $750,000 a day and was already running five weeks late, rig survivors told CNN.

BP won the argument, said Doug Brown, the rig's chief mechanic. "He basically said, 'Well, this is how it's gonna be.' "

"That's what the big argument was about," added Daniel Barron III.

Shortly after the exchange, chief driller Dewey Revette expressed concern and opposition too, the workers said, and on the drilling floor, they chatted among themselves.

"I don't ever remember doing this," they said, according to Barron.

"I think that's why Dewey was so reluctant to try to do it," Barron said, "because he didn't feel it was the right way to have things done."

Revette was among the 11 workers killed when the rig exploded that night.

something like that happened to me and a friend one night in his jeep. We went to fill up and the person before us left the trigger locked on and when he hit the button for 87 it starting spraying gas out everywhere, all over the side of the jeep (which the doors and windows were open). I now always put the nozzle in before I push any buttons after that experience.
