so now it makes more sense of to why the 20yr old shot him.

i guess if it was not a gang affiliated 20yr old he would have been cought and turned into the cops.

i had my scion tc when only 1 month old keyed from the driver door to the rear quarter panel and i was not the only victim, 7 other brand new cars near me ad the same markings. xxx i was pissed i wish i found the guy cause i wanted to beat the crap out of him but never death.

well for this subject again another stupid act. violence is getting bad.

True... but we could take a que from the T-1000 and kneecap them.

Shooting someone for vandalism is way over the top. A beating would have been more appropriate. I bet vandalism in Surrey will be way down in the coming months though.

I'm a little curious about the memorial in the vandal's honor, though. What's up with that?....Every time we see someone's hard earned property destoryed, we'll think of him.....

Not to be redundant but yeah that's a little much. Or a lot much. I can't imagine killing somebody without feeling a need to defend myself or somebody else. Its not like you can even say the kid was in this guys house and he was defending his family. He just shot the kid for no good reason. What a crazy ****.

It's a sad commentary on our society when we place a higher a value on our possessions than we do on human life.

While I would never kill someone for kicking in my car door (I don't have a gun). I could see myself getting lost in the moment and beating him to near death and unfortunately it would turn around on me and I would become the criminal. As for this story it's hard for me to care that one gang member is dead and another is going to jail. Human life is valuable to me but if you live a life of violence you lose the right to claim you are the same species as me.

Because you are KILLING him, by all means injure him and make it as painful as possible but don't kill the stupid brat. It is still just "stuff."

It's my stuff, and how I can choose how to deal with people messing with it is my business.

There is a reason Texas cities have lower crime rates than places like Chicago, Detroit, Newark, and DC. We are allowed to arm ourselves and use force to defend our property, while they are not. And the criminals know it.

This is the only life we get and to take someone's for a non-violent crime is abhorrent. Death is final. No second chances; no do overs. That kid will never wake up on this Earth again all because he was vandalizing cars. This kid needed to be punished for what he did, not given a hole in the head.
Unfortunately killing has always been easy in this world. Murder has been happening since the beginning and will continue to happen. The only answer is for us to properly home train our own children and quit thinking it's someone else's job to do so. Just think if we would step up and not let our children watch violent TV or play violent video games then they just might loose the desire to do violence.

I kind of agree with 1bad65....I mean, I still don't think he should have killed him, but at the same time, I think defending your property is certainly legit.

Serioulsy, what gives the kid the right to vandalize cars/other property and not expect any consequences? In the case, maybe the consequeces were severe, but.....

As for whoever said, "it's just stuff"....but, it's my stuff...stuff that I worked hard to earn the money to buy....stuff that, if it's damaged or destroyed, I will want fixed, but I will have to pay for it to get fixed or replaced....all because some a-hole decided to mess it up.....I say you should be able to defend your stuff.....

Now, personally, I want the a-hole around to pay me back for the damage, so I still wouldn't kill him, but like I said before, I would beat the hell out him and make sure he was still around for the cops to haul away....

It's a sad commentary on our society when the people forget that our property is the material manifestation of our human life and that stealing it is no different than taking away part of the owner's life itself.

We only exist on this Earth for a limited time and therefore our property is the extension of our labors consuming a portion of this limited time here, and taking property from others is another form of slavery.

Punishing vandals with death is definitely too harsh, but there should most certainly be a penalty more than a slap on the wrist for this type of behavior.

Erecting memorials to vandals is also an outrage.
