Never mess with another man's car

The Mounties have announced an arrest after a 17 year old boy was shot in the head early Wednesday morning in Surrey.

20 year old Steven Mulligan-Brum is charged with second degree murder.

He is in police custody.

Police say the 17 year old victim was essentially killed as retaliation because he was vandalizing cars on the street - slashing tires and kicking in doors.

Police say it appears he messed with the wrong person's car.

The victim is Adem Aliu of Surrey.
A memorial has been created in his honour.

I just hope the silver lining would be other punks think twice and back off from vandalizing anything.

Never mess with another man's car

That's an unwritten law, but that guy went way too far.

I would hate if I came out of my house or a store or somewhere and saw my camaro beat up but I don't think that the kid should of been killed for messing with some peoples car arrested yes but not killed thats just too extreme

Unfortunately the system probably wouldnt have done anything to the kid... they rarely do. At 17 though they could probably have tried him as an adult. But to kill him for that... I think that's going a bit too far.

He went too far, but what's this about a Memorial being created in the other guys "honor".

"This was a fine young man who only wished to vandalize and kick in doors..."

Had this happened in Texas, at night, the guy whose car was vandalized would not be facing any charges at all. You are allowed to use deadly force to protect your property at night here. Thank God for freedom.

I just had two trucks on my lot vandalized yesterday. It will cost me money to fix them. Surveillance cameras shows two youths just having a grand time destroying my property and trying to burn one of my storage buildings. Little creeps hug out there for 30 minutes just "having fun" at my expense. To me vandalizing = stealing. If I caught them I wouldn't kill them unless I felt threatened.

Shouldnt be funny, but I kind of laugh at how many posts I've read over the months on this site that say we should shoot vandals.

I think killing someone for that is definitely going to far.
