Yes both cars are on the same platform and yes they both share the family DNA in the looks dept, otherwise one is a small hatchback 2 seater, the other is a 4 seat coupe with a trunk, one is more aggressive (370Z) while the other is more sporty and elegant (G37). I really don't see it. The Crown Vic/Grand Marquis and Explorer/Mountainer are not fair comparisons as those were the same exact vehicles with different grills.

thanks for pointing that out and making me look at them again...now I can barely tell them apart. I drove my Suburban today and walking up to it, I could have easily mistaken it for either a 370Z or G37 had it not for the 2 extra doors. This is soo cool!

The fact that we have to even discuss this is a joke in itself.
And the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis Explorer/Mountaineer comparison was the absolute worst comparison I've seen on this forum. Congratulations!

JUST a bit, imo.

You can tell they are made by the same manufacturer, and that's about it...

p.s. If you think this thread is pointless...DON'T bump it, and it'll disappear!

They are built on the same platform, but that's about where the similarities end.

Im embarassed to actually argue about this, as its a complete lack of logic by some of you.

Camaro and trans am differences

hood, mirrors, wheels, interior, front fasica, rear bumper, door skins.

g37 and 370z difference

hood, mirrors, wheels, interior, front fasica, rear bumper, door skins.

actually I think the mirros may be the same.

The differences between a g37 and a 370z are no different than between a 2009 mustang and a 2010 mustang.
nobody is saying the cars are different, and everyone is aware that underneath the cosmetic differences they are essentially the same car. the debate is whether they look the same or not..... ................................... .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .....

The G37 Suspension is different, so is the rear differential...There's no way anyone can go anything lower than a +30(ish) offset on a G37....I've done negative offsets on mine with a 20x11 before and running a 315 tire
