I understand your position, but...! The biggest advantage Monanta had, was the fact that San Francisco could run the ball! That's something Miami never could do when Marino was there. Opposing defenses never had to concentrate on Miami's running game, because it was nonexistent! They were all gunning for him, and yet he could still light 'em up! Really, if San Francisco would have had Marino, they would have had more Super Bowl wins and quite possibly an undefeated season too!

(Side Note, I still can't believe Pittsburgh didn't draft him! Home town boy and all...they knew what he brought to the table and they passed on him! )

The best thing I'll say about San Diego is that I like their powder blue uniforms!

But I still like Miami's better!

I was there. Working in Miami at the time, 1981, right?? One of the best games I've ever seen. But growing up and attending Cleveland Browns games, well. Nuff Said...

You're the second person I've known who was actually there for that game! That had to be so exciting in person! Even over the T.V. you could feel the energy...but in person, WOW!!!!
