Newbie needs lingo.... xD

hey im new to cars in general and know some about cars, but probably not enough to survive on this forum haha but was wondering if there was some crucial lingo i should know. like bowtie (lookd at someones thread and learned that 1) i would have just calld that the emblem so if u could post some lingo i should know....... i would greatly appreciate. like i know Horepower HP, and RPM, and MPG, MPH, clutches, gears, basic stuff... but not alot lol so all help is appreciated.

Thanks! Sorry if this is annoyance but i love cars and want to learn more. And where better than the best car in the worlds best forum?

Thanks

It would be easier to help you if we knew what you wanted to know. I could write a 10,000 word post covering all sorts of little things but it might not be the most helpful for you.

It's n00b, not newb.

But yea, your question is to broad! What lingo are you wanting to know?

I would say your best bet is to just read the car boards. If you do it long enough and asked good questions you'll pick it up if you really want to learn.

Either they agree, or the word THIS is underlined meaning you can click or double-click on it and it will open to whatever the topic being discussed is.

If you want to know, ask the question. I didn't know what FTW (For The Win) was until I asked someone (Darth_Emma) in a PM (Private Message) what it meant.. It was on her license plate.

We're all here to help, this site is a learning experience as well as some general fun and friends for all.

Good Luck and Welcome.. Lori
