Back in the old days, you had to actually turn the dail for each number in the phone number you wanted to call. That technology is called AANNAAALLLOOOG. And OMG it didn't have Caller ID, It didn't redial on its own, take pictures, record movies, get on the interwebz, play music, or save phone number in it....

That's how phones worked in the old days....

That totally reminds me of this story from when i was a little kid. We had a power outage for a couple days and my mom was going to take me and my sister to the park during the day. So we get in the car and she starts it up and my sister says "oh my the car works!! the power is back on!"

that reminds me of when one of my friends in elementary school came over & when we showed him the phone so he could call home, he couldn't figure out what to do with it. my mom's had that phone almost 30 yrs. it's still in her kitchen
