thanks Becky and everyone!!!...I will try calling the dealership tomorrow for another update on his condition...

I don't want to be a pest and call every day, but it's so hard being here and not having daily communication and updates...:(

I am happy to report that I actually got a phone call today from Mike himself!!!...He is still in a lot of pain and very weak...I told him that he really made my day!!!...

I told him that I've been sitting here helplessly in NY, very upset and worried about him, while he is in a hospital in Virginia recovering from a life threatening infection and surgery ...

He told me not to worry about him, but to take care of me...that's the type of guy he is...

I have been checking in with his friends that I met at the dealership that Mike manages in VA where we took delivery of the 'HWAY STR' on 5/19/09... I've been getting my updates every few days, since I didn't want to bother them too much...

Soooooo, it was just great to get the story straight from Mike himself...He has a very positive attitude that he is going to survive this...

I told him that I had my Camaro5 family praying for his full recovery and he wanted me to say THANK YOU to all of you...

He said the prayers are definitely helping him, because the doctors keep telling him that he is the luckiest person alive to have survived what he went through...

I told him that I will continue to 'pray my heart out' for him and that I would ask you all to continue praying too, PLEASE...

He has a very long road to recovery ahead of him, and his condition is still 'LIFE THREATENING'...I cannot tell you exactly what his medical problem is due to wanting to protect his privacy, but he still isn't 'out of the woods' yet...:(

THANK YOU ALL FOR PRAYING FOR, AND CARING ABOUT, A STRANGER THAT YOU HAVE NEVER MET, JUST BECAUSE I ASKED YOU TO...

Your prayers and support mean the world to me, and I can never thank you enough...just knowing that you all care so much has made this a little bit easier for me to bear...

I will keep sending prayers (or whatever it's called in my case since I'm not religious

) so he keeps getting better!!
