The 2011+ Mustang Thread

happened to a guy here locally a couple of years ago it was by a coal mine so he was doing 130 mph with 4 people in the car lost controll and hit the 8ft burm wall beside the highway the wall was made out of dirt sloped at a 45 degree angle needless to say the car went air born and come down on her nose and then went end over end over end ever end i saw the car and it was horrible drivers seat was broke in half and pretty much nothing was left of the car

The 2010 mustang has upgraded materials over the 05-09, and those cars are still running strong at 100k+ miles (check the forums, there are some that look like new over 150k!). The camaro has been out for 1 year, so please tell me where you found this data. The only unknown about the 2011 is the engine, however if its built anything like the same quality of the 4.6, it will be extremely reliable.


I'd really love to see this "data".

He has nothing but hearsay and rumor which other biased people will turn into 'fact'. You will not see the data he is talking about.

So true, I expect all the Mustang owners to cry but it still amazes me how many Vette and, even more so, how many 4th gen F-body owners are such haters of the new Camaro. I wish they would just come out of the closet already and go buy a Mustang and then go away.

So true. While there are a few car owners that are biased, it seems like all the raving when this car first came out really made a lot of the owners blind to many things.

I recalled a post where another member stated the camaro as having some type of better report from 2010 model year figures. It could have been crap...who knows. I never claimed anything as being a fact....you guys are harsh. Sorry if I dont feel like sifting through hundreds of posts to find it. I kind of have a life. I have never had a problem with the reliability of my chevrolet vehicles (or ford) so it doesnt really matter to me that much.

So SWAT....when are you going to get a car? Seams like you have been lurking/on the fence for a while now.

alrox...thanks for the compliment. I know I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to camaros/mustangs and the like. I have very little experience with either car. Most all posts I make are nothing but garbage based on hearsay and rumor. Thanks for the reality check. And good job keeping your fellow GM owner in check. We dont get much of that around here

Good to see ford step up and finally make a few motors worthy of duking it out with GM.

I still prefer the camaro SS over the 5.0 but for those that like the mustang 5.0 better...I'd give them two thumbs up as well.

Both great cars.

If I were buying? I'd buy the camaro SS over the Mustang 5.0

gotta agree. Like car mags, some owners here (or wanna be owners or trolls) just fall for the PR and want the new thing...what ever that new thing is. That's all fine and good. But don't be insulted when A REAL CAMARO owner prefers his CAMARO to the competition.

If you have enough time to post on the forum claiming you have seen "data" I think you have enough time to prove it. We're harsh? You've always managed to pull strong for the camaro to put down its competition, but when you're called on it now all of the sudden you have a life and are so busy and don't care and yada yada yada. I'm no longer on my fence about my vehicle, but it really doesn't matter, seeing as how I can still post on these boards to clean up some of the trash the biased owners/other owner fanboys put out on here.
