As a Cobalt owner, I actually have to agree with that. It was ok when it came out, and still doing fine when I bought mine in 06, but the new generation of compacts from the competition just leapfrogged it. I'm sure the reason it is still doing ok is its great fuel economy. I get 28 mpg easy with a lead foot in stop and go traffic on hills with wide sticky tires. Not bad.

I think this car has definite 'SS' potential...it's on the new version of the Cobalt Chassis...and then there's this:

Performance is on the brain over at Chevy...I definitely see an SS Cruze in the future.

Okay, I have only seen pictures of this car, but I swear it is a lot bigger than a cobalt and a fit combined. Are my eyes deceiving me or is it really as large as I think it is, or are you guys are just going on comparison sprees like usual.

Here is the "Volt-Cruzer", Volt drivetrain, Cruze body. Judge its size for yourself.

Indeed. Wagoner hunched over is about the same height as the other guy. Who is he anyway?

Actually...unless the original plans have dramatically changed it should be priced a few thousand more than a Cobalt, that's why this won't be replacing it right off the bat. One of the main considerations behind this car was to actually make a decently profitable small car. The logic is that it is based of an impressive new chassis, has a quality interior, and massively impressive fuel economy that make it worth those extra $$$. Rumors are that it will be priced somewhere between Cobalt and Malibu.

I believe that's senator Carl Levin.

It's a global car, designed for sales in both Europe and the US. But Europe will get it first. Followed by the US in 2010.

When they compare the new cars/concepts to the camaro..the camaro just looks so old and bland now even with it's aggressive lines. IMO it looks out of place..
