Sucks. I just hope someone will actually buy it in this economy.

GM is bigger, so it falls harder. Hopefully, someone makes a good offer for Hummer and Saab.

why would anybody in their right mind buy hummer? i've been thinking about that question quite a bit, both while being sober and intoxicated, but i have yet to come up with a reasonable answer that i feel good about.

the best answer i've thought of so far is "to make yourself look like an idiot."

Calm down a little!!

It's not dissapearing. It's just not going to be under GM's corporate umbrella for much longer. It'll be sold to somebody else to control. Who's to say they don't keep Saab's reliability in-tact?

And whoever buys it will most likely screw it up. Volvo used to be great, got sold to Ford and became crap. I consider it extremly likely that the same will happen to Saab.

But hey I'd be extactic if I was wrong.

Do you know that for a fact? I ask because I have some close freinds and a close family member who has bought Volvo since Ford has owned it and they are fantastic cars. The drive, finish and reliability is very good. I don't know one person who has ever bitched about their Volvo. If they were so bad, every second house in the Boston suburbs wouldn't have one.

I won't. Things are stressful right now, right in the middle of a production and I'm not getting much sleep so I overreact a bit.

I think they've lost the soul of Volvo. I find it kinda sad the Volvo I like the most, doesn't look much like a volvo at all and that's the C30. I could live with that but mostly it's the fact that since Ford bought Volvo it has been turned into some sort of luxuary brand around here almost. It used to be the peoples cars, now it's an image sell more then anything.

And let me not get started on the horror that is the rebadged Focus, the V50.
